The Day House is located in the heart of Catskill in New York and was built in 1791 by Stephen Day. The House was completely renovated in 2003 to form this splendid masterpiece.
Accommodation at The Day House consists of:
The Day House offers a welcoming atmosphere and great accommodation. The rooms are all private and are equipped with a flat-screen cable TV, air-conditioning and internet connection. The West room is a 20 foot square room and overlooks the Italianate and Victorian town houses in the area. There is a queen sized bed in the room with a comfortable seating area. Then the East Room is equipped with a queen sized bed, a writing desk and overlooks the back garden.
For a great meal there are plenty of restaurants in the area to choose from. You could even go out and get a take away, and enjoy it in the garden or on the patio at the Day House. Even better, you could take your meal to the river side and watch all the boats going by. Once you have finished your meal, then you might want to enjoy being on the river yourself.
There are plenty of boat cruises or you could go fishing in the nearby lakes. For those of you who are new in the area, there are a couple of tourism companies you could visit for more information. If you feel like getting out for the day, then you could visit the New York State Parks, Mountain Top Arboretum, Catskill Game Farm where you can be out in nature with the wild, Windham Mountain or Hunter Mountain. The area also as plenty of historical sites to visit and great museums where you can learn all about the area.
